Women, We Are Stronger Than We Think

how to get stronger mentally and physically
In this article, I will be discussing the topic of finding strength and power in our daily lives. As we go through our routines, it is important to remember that we have the ability to tap into our mental and physical power to achieve our goals. In my latest episodes on my Traction podcast, I talk about how tough it is sometimes as women to find our mental and physical power.

One way to find strength is through our passions. For example, mountain biking can be a great testing ground for non-bike life. It challenges us physically and mentally, and teaches us how to take risks and overcome obstacles. Additionally, having a partner who supports and propels us forward can be a great way to find power.

It is also important to remember that strength does not always mean being the fastest or strongest. Sometimes, being smarter in a situation can give us an advantage. We should focus on racing against ourselves and improving our own personal records.

Fear can often hold us back from reaching our full potential. By trusting ourselves, our tools, and our partners, we can reduce this fear and climb higher towards our goals. It is important to let go of the dialogue in our heads that is just noise and focus on the fun and excitement of achieving our goals.

Women often underestimate their own power and need to learn how to tap into it. By becoming experts on our partners and understanding their strengths and mindsets, we can learn from each other and grow stronger together. We should not be afraid to set clear goals and believe in ourselves to achieve them.

Why is it so hard to balance our mental and physical strength and power?

Balancing our mental and physical strength and power is like trying to juggle flaming torches while riding a unicycle on a tightrope. It’s hard. Really hard. But why is it so damn difficult to find that perfect equilibrium between our mind and body? Let’s dive in and explore this conundrum.

Firstly, let’s talk about our mental strength. Our brains are complex organs that control everything we do, think and feel. They’re like the CEO of our bodies, making all the important decisions and keeping us on track. But just like any CEO, they can get overwhelmed and burnt out. Our modern world bombards us with an endless stream of information, notifications, and stressors that can make it hard for our brains to keep up. We’re constantly multitasking, switching between tasks, and trying to maintain focus in an environment that’s designed to distract us. It’s no wonder our mental strength can take a hit.

On the other hand, physical strength seems like it should be easier to maintain. After all, we know that exercise is good for us, right? But the reality is that many of us struggle to find the time, energy, or motivation to work out regularly. Our busy lives often leave us feeling exhausted and drained, making it hard to summon the energy for a workout. Plus, exercise itself can be a source of stress if we push ourselves too hard or set unrealistic goals.

So how can we find balance between our mental and physical strength? Here are a few tips:

1. Make time for yourself: carve out a few minutes each day to do something that makes you happy. This could be reading a book, taking a walk, or just sitting quietly with your thoughts.

2. Prioritize sleep: getting enough sleep is crucial for both mental and physical health. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep each night.

3. Find an exercise routine that works for you: don’t force yourself to do something you hate just because you think you should. Find an activity that you enjoy and that fits into your lifestyle.

4. Practice mindfulness: mindfulness is a great way to calm your mind and reduce stress. Try meditation or yoga to help you stay centered.

5. Cut back on screen time: our devices can be a major source of stress and distraction. Try limiting your screen time and see how it affects your mental and physical well-being.

Finding balance between our mental and physical strength is an ongoing process. It’s not something that can be achieved overnight, but with patience, practice, and a bit of humor, we can get there. So go ahead, juggle those flaming torches while riding a unicycle on a tightrope. Just be sure to wear a helmet.

In conclusion, finding strength and power in our daily lives is essential for achieving our goals and living a fulfilling life. By tapping into our passions, trusting ourselves and our partners, and letting go of fear, we can climb higher towards success. Remember, we are stronger than we think!
